The Geekiest Post I’ve Ever Written. PS Don’t Judge Me.

I’m going to start this post with a declaration, maybe more of a statement, if you will.

I love celebrity gossip.

If you were to look at my iTunes account right now, you’d see that I subscribe to a number of gossip podcasts.

If you were to look at my internet history, you’d see that I often visit TMZ and Perez Hilton.

If you looked at my magazine collection, you’d find People Magazine and Us Weekly.

What can I say, I’m a person that love me some celebrity gossip. Weirdly enough, I don’t enjoy the fact that celebrities are hounded by paparazzi (I think it’s cruel in fact), but I’m such a hypocrite, because I’m the sucker that buys the $2.99 magazine to find out why Khloe and Omar are headed for splitsville. Wait… Where am I going with this. Oh right.

A couple of months ago, you might recall that I reviewed Lauren Graham’s Someday, Someday, Maybe. I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to participate in an online chat with the hilarious Lauren Graham, where I was too scared to write or say anything, because the whole time I kept thinking that I was chatting with Lorelai Gilmore and I froze. I thought my chances of connecting with one of my favourite celebrities had come and gone until I got home from work a couple of weeks ago. There was a small package from Random House headquarters in New York. Of course, I found this really odd, seeing as how if they were going to send me something, it would make much more sense to come to our Toronto headquarters.  So I ripped open the package and legit almost dropped its contents.

Inside the package was a signed signature plate from Lorelai Gimore, er, um, Lauren Graham. As someone who loves celebrities and has a weird, quotable problem when it comes to the Gilmore Girls, I cannot believe that I have a signature from Lauren Graham!!! God forbid if I ever meet her in person.

As a professional fan girl, I am still geeking out over the fact that I own this!

This is also a perfect time to share with you that Someday, Someday, Maybe will be made into a television show that will air on the CW. Lauren Graham will be writing the script for the show and it will be produced by Ellen DeGenere’s production company, A Very Good Production. You can read more about it here.

You’ll also be thrilled to hear that Lauren Graham is hard at work on her second novel. Here’s a great tweet she sent out from her Twitter account @TheLaurenGraham.
